We proudly partner with Mid-Western Regional Libraries —as well as local creatives and businesses — to host a series of events throughout the year. Here’s what we have coming up:
One of Australia’s best-loved forums for literature, ideas and storytelling, Sydney Writers’ Festival will stream its headline events from Carriageworks in Sydney direct the Mudgee Town Hall Theatre on Friday 3, Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 May. Prepare to be stimulated and engaged by conversations, debates and discussions, as the Festival brings the world’s finest authors to Mudgee in real time. As well as hearing new ideas from great thinkers, you will have the opportunity to participate in Q&A sessions at each event, sending questions direct to the Sydney stage.
Amanda Hampson is the best-selling author of The Olive Sisters, Two for the Road andThe French Perfumer and The Yellow Villa. In researching her latest novel Sixty Summers, Amanda embarked a European trip retracing her own youthful journey from the 1970s. Join Amanda for morning tea and a talk about her travels and her latest book.
Whether you want to write but are not sure where to start, are stuck in the middle or a work in progress or looking for publishing advice for a completed work, come along to this free session and get some advice and support. Portia Lindsay is the former Agony Aunt for literary platform Seizure and has been a bookseller, reviewer and literary events programmer.
